How to Make Matcha with Jasmine and Milk

This aromatic drink combines the delicate floral notes of jasmine, the sweetness of peach syrup, the creaminess of coconut milk, and the freshness of matcha. It’s a smooth, fragrant, café-style beverage that feels both comforting and exotic.

What You’ll Need

  • 1 g matcha + 20 g water

  • 1 g jasmine water

  • 15 g peach syrup

  • Coconut milk (to taste)

  • Optional garnish: edible flower, 0.5 g of matcha powder (for dusting)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Matcha (1 minute)

  • Heat water to 70°C (158°F).

  • Mix 1 g of matcha with 20 g of warm water, whisking until smooth and free of clumps.

  • The matcha should be bright and silky.

2. Combine Ingredients in a Pitcher (30 seconds)

  • Pour cold coconut milk into a pitcher (amount depends on the desired size of the drink).

  • Add 15 g of peach syrup.

  • Add 1 g of jasmine water for a delicate floral aroma.

  • Pour the prepared matcha into the pitcher.

3. Heat and Froth (1 minute)

  • If you have an espresso machine steam wand, heat the mixture while frothing.

  • Aim for a 1 cm layer of foam on top.
If you don’t have a steam wand, gently warm the mixture on the stove, then froth using a handheld frother.

4. Serve and Decorate

  • Pour the finished drink into a cup.

  • Dust the surface through a fine sieve with 0.5 g matcha powder.

  • Add an edible flower for an elegant final touch.
